What published reviews found
TechPowerUp highlighted that 8000 Hz polling works natively, with no extra dongle or accessory, and that the cable is significantly more flexible while keeping enough shielding. It also pointed to the light weight and the 90 million click switches, and listed the lack of wireless, RGB and color options as the trade-offs.
PCGamesN praised the comfortable ergonomic shape, the very light feel and flawless sensor tracking, but was less enthusiastic about the package. It called the feature set basic, found the scroll wheel detents undefined, and judged the value mediocre at $69.99, saying competitors with similar core features cost $10 to $20 less. It also suggested the soft-touch coating may wear.
Windows Central was the most positive, calling the mouse one of the best you can buy for right-handed players who want performance over extras. It said the shape suits medium-to-large hands, and it noted the limited number of programmable buttons and the non-removable cable. It also reported retailer discounts below the MSRP at the time of its update.
Price and availability
Three outlets (TechPowerUp, PCGamesN and Windows Central) list a $69.99 MSRP. The wired V3 sits alongside wireless siblings. TechRadar lists the DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed at $99.99 and 55 g, and the DeathAdder V3 Pro at 64 g. Street prices vary, so check current listings or our gaming mouse deals before buying. We do not list a current price here.
Who it's for
This mouse suits right-handed players with medium or large hands who want a lightweight wired mouse with high polling rates, and do not care about RGB or extra buttons. Given PCGamesN's value concerns at full price, a sale price makes it easier to justify.
Skip it if you are left-handed, want wireless, or prefer a smaller symmetrical shape. For a wireless mouse with a different shape, look at the Logitech G PRO X Superlight, or compare designs in our Superlight vs Razer Viper Ultimate guide. If budget matters more, the Logitech G305 is a cheaper wireless alternative, though it is much heavier.
Bottom line
The wired DeathAdder V3 is a well-regarded, very light mouse with a flexible cable, a strong sensor and polling up to 8000 Hz. Outlets disagree mostly on price: Windows Central and TechPowerUp emphasize performance, while PCGamesN thought rivals offered similar basics for less. Treat it as a good fit for DeathAdder-shape fans, and wait for a discount if value is your priority.
