How We Research and Verify
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This page explains how GameRath produces its articles, so you know what to trust and what to double-check.
GameRath does not run its own test lab. We do not benchmark hardware ourselves, and our articles are not the result of our own lab measurements unless an article says so explicitly. When we discuss performance, specifications, ratings or pros and cons, we base them on manufacturer specifications, official documentation and published testing from other outlets, and we cite our sources.
Where our information comes from
- Manufacturer and publisher sources: spec sheets, support pages, official patch notes and announcements.
- Established tech and gaming outlets: published reviews, benchmarks and deal trackers, which we link to at the end of the article.
- Retailer listings: for prices, availability and coupon conditions.
We cross-check important numbers against more than one source when we can. If a figure only appears in one place, we say how much weight to give it, or leave it out.
How we handle deals and prices
- Every price we quote was checked on the date shown in the article. Retail prices change quickly, sometimes within hours, so confirm the price in your cart before buying.
- We note which retailer a price is from, and whether it needs a coupon, a promo code or a membership such as Prime.
- We compare the sale price to the usual price and skip tiny discounts and inflated "was" prices.
- We update or remove deal pages when offers end, and we do not guarantee that any price will still be available when you click.
How we write guides
Setup and troubleshooting guides follow official documentation and well-known fixes, and we link to the documentation we used. Hardware, drivers and game versions differ between PCs, so a step may not behave exactly as described on every configuration. If something does not work for you, let us know.
How we cover news
News articles are based on official announcements, patch notes and reporting by other outlets, and we link to them. We update the article when the original source changes the details.
Affiliate links and independence
Some pages contain affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them. The links are disclosed near the top of the article. Commissions do not change what we write or recommend. See About GameRath for how the site is funded.
Updates and corrections
We revise articles when prices, specifications or game versions change, and we correct errors when we find them. If you find a mistake, email contact@gamerath.com with the page address and the correction, and we will review it.
