Respawn Entertainment shipped the Marked midseason patch for Apex Legends on September 15, and it's a heavier update than most midseason drops usually are: three legend reworks, three weapon retunes, and more than 150 quality-of-life fixes spread across the map rotation. New to the free-to-play battle royale? Our Apex Legends breakdown covers the basics before you queue in with the new balance changes.
Legend changes: Axle gets reined in, three others get stronger
Axle takes the biggest hit in this patch. His ultimate cooldown jumps from 90 to 120 seconds, his HP drops from 200 to 150, and the stun duration on his tactical falls from 1.5 seconds to just 0.25 — a combination that noticeably softens his aggression in close-quarters fights. Seer also loses the turn-slow effect on his tactical entirely.
On the buff side, Catalyst's tactical cooldown drops from 20 to 15 seconds and now reinforces doors automatically while dealing damage on projectile hits. Conduit gets faster ultimate deployment and two new Level 2 upgrades, Fuse picks up Knuckle Jump as a base-kit ability alongside a more responsive Motherlode, and Bloodhound — already reworked at the start of Season 30 with a new cloaking ultimate — gets an extra second of scan duration and better snapshot fade timing on top of that overhaul.
Weapon tuning and map fixes
Three weapons got meaningful adjustments: the Triple Take's ADS fire rate and magazine size both increased (now 9 rounds), the Bocek Compound Bow's arrow stockpile jumped from 40 to 60, and the Charge Rifle's max damage past 200 meters rose from 99 to 110. Loot pools also shifted toward more available healing items and reworked ammo spawn rates, with Weapon Assist now covering every base weapon rather than a limited set.
Respawn also pushed over 150 quality-of-life fixes across the current map rotation — World's Edge, Olympus, and Broken Moon — plus a new anti-cheat system aimed specifically at unauthorized controller hardware, and an audio toggle for weapon dialogue after players flagged abnormally loud interior spaces.
What is the Apex Legends Marked midseason patch? It's a September 15, 2026 balance and content update for Apex Legends' Season 30, nerfing Axle and Seer, buffing Catalyst, Conduit and Fuse, retuning three weapons including the Charge Rifle and Bocek Compound Bow, and shipping over 150 map quality-of-life fixes alongside new anti-cheat detection for unauthorized controller hardware.
Season 30 itself, which this patch builds on, launched August 4 with a full Bloodhound rework centered on a new cloaking ultimate that gives nearby teammates a temporary speed boost and threat vision. If ranked balance shifts have you due for a sensor upgrade, our best gaming mouse deals roundup is worth a look before the meta settles further.
What to expect next
With Axle reined in and three support-oriented legends strengthened, expect the current ranked meta to lean further toward coordinated team compositions rather than solo-aggression picks. Respawn hasn't detailed a specific date for the next content drop, but the studio's cadence this season points to further balance passes rather than a new legend before Season 30 wraps up.
