What published reviews found

Tom's Hardware reviewed the case on August 20, 2024 under the headline "Simple, silent, and effective." With a stock CPU the processor stayed under 64°C, and with an overclocked 130W CPU and a 200W GPU it reached 77°C. The stock fans were quieter than the reviewer's 36.4 dBA noise floor, which the outlet estimated at about 34 dBA. It listed limited storage expansion as the one notable drawback and called the case ideal for mid-range gaming builds.

KitGuru tested the case with a Core i7-14700K and RTX 4080 Super and called its cooling impressive with the stock fans. It found removing the front and top panels cut CPU temperatures by up to 4°C, while adding PSU shroud intake fans lowered GPU temperatures by only about 2°C. KitGuru praised cable management and competitive pricing. Its complaints were a single front USB-A port, a top radiator bracket that does not come out, missing cable-routing grommets, and no back-connect motherboard support.

Price and availability

NZXT lists $94.99 for the standard H5 Flow, and Tom's Hardware listed $124.99 for the RGB variant, which uses a different front fan. NZXT's store page showed the standard model as out of stock when checked on October 6, 2026. KitGuru gave UK prices of 89.99 and 109.99 pounds at Scan. Stock and street prices change, so check retailers.

Who it's for

The H5 Flow suits builders who want a quiet, airflow-oriented ATX case with room for a long GPU and a 360mm front radiator, and who mostly use NVMe storage. It is a close match for the mid-range build in our budget gaming PC build guide.

Skip it if you keep several hard drives or SATA SSDs, since three storage bays is the limit reviewers flagged most. Buyers with tall air coolers should note the 170mm limit. The Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact offers more storage mounts and three or more included fans, and the Corsair 4000D Airflow has room for two 3.5" drives. Check the current GPU deals if you are planning the whole build.

Bottom line

The published record is consistent: the H5 Flow runs cool and quiet and costs less than many airflow cases, with limited drive bays and a few small omissions as the trade-offs. For a mainstream gaming PC with modest storage needs it is an easy case to shortlist, once you confirm stock and price.
