NTE (Neverness to Everness) on PC: Steam, Accounts and Requirements
NTE (Neverness to Everness)

NTE, short for Neverness to Everness, is a free-to-play open-world RPG set in a modern city, developed by Hotta Studio and published by Perfect World. It launched worldwide on April 29, 2026, and it reached Steam and the Epic Games Store on July 8, 2026, according to Kaiden's launch FAQ. This guide covers what the game is, how its money works, how accounts behave across platforms, and what your PC needs. We describe the game from published reports rather than our own testing.

Quick answer: NTE is free to download and play, and it sells optional purchases through a gacha system, according to Gfinity. On PC you can install it from Steam or the Epic Games Store. Plan for at least 16 GB of RAM and roughly 60 to 90 GB of free storage, because the sources we checked disagree on the exact figures, and confirm everything on the Steam store page before you download.

What NTE Is

RPGSite describes NTE as a city-set, open-world role-playing game. Committing crimes raises your wanted level and can bring police pursuit, and there is a detention center where you can work off your sentence or try to break out. Friends can join your world for racing, mahjong and a heist activity. Driving and exploring can be done in first person, vehicles use a physics system, and rain and snow make drifting riskier.

GoSuGamers reports that the Steam and Epic launch arrived with version 1.2, which added the S-Class character Shinku, a new main story chapter and another exclusive vehicle obtainable through a draw event. That tells you how the game funds itself: characters and vehicles come from random draws.

How the Money Works

Gfinity calls NTE free-to-play and says that, as a gacha game, it includes in-game transactions for pulling cosmetics and characters. In the US, the ESRB uses an "In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)" label for games with randomized purchases such as gacha, and that label does not disclose the odds, as Destructoid reported when it was introduced. Read the odds screen inside the game before spending anything.

Kaiden notes that on Steam, payments are charged to the Steam account that launched the game. A practical approach is to play several hours with no spending, see whether the free rewards keep you progressing, and only then decide. Our guide to spotting pay-to-win in a free game lists the questions to ask.

Accounts, Servers and Cross-Play

Gfinity says NTE supports cross-platform play and progression. Kaiden adds the practical details:

  • Cross-progression works with existing PC and mobile platforms through email, Facebook or Google login.
  • You choose a server when you sign in, and each server is independent, with no shared game data.
  • Accounts registered through different third-party logins are kept separate.
  • You do not need an existing account, since you can register a Perfect World Games account in the client.

The server choice is the detail most players miss. Pick it carefully, because progress on one server does not appear on another.

PC Requirements: Why Sources Disagree

The listings we found do not match. Kaiden's FAQ quotes the Steam listing as Windows 10 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-10700, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660 or RX 5600 class graphics card, DirectX 11 and 70 GB of storage for the minimum. Its recommended tier is a Core i7-12700, 32 GB of RAM, an RTX 3060 or RX 6700 and 70 GB. Gfinity's article lists a Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1660, RX 5600 XT or Arc A580 and 60 GB on an SSD for the minimum. The NTE Guide wiki lists lower processor and graphics minimums, 8 GB of RAM and 90 GB of storage.

Take the safe path: aim for the higher memory and storage numbers, and treat the Steam store page as the authority. Our guide to reading system requirements explains how to compare these lists with your own parts, and our RAM guide covers the 16 GB versus 32 GB question.

Common Questions

Is NTE on Steam? Yes. Kaiden reports a launch on Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Samsung Galaxy Store on July 8, 2026.

Can I move between PC and mobile? Gfinity says cross-platform progression is supported. Use the same login method on each platform, because accounts from different third-party logins are separate.

Does it work on a low-end PC? The Steam minimum quoted by Kaiden includes a Core i7-10700 and 16 GB of RAM, which is heavier than many free games. See our free games for low-end PCs if your machine is older.

What else is in this genre? Our best free-to-play action RPGs and gacha games page compares NTE with Genshin Impact, Where Winds Meet, Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero.
